Do You Feel Like The Food You Eat?

I think sometimes we overthink our nutrition.  We get caught up in the diet world of which one works.  The problem is that it’s way too confusing, and there is no cookie-cutter way of eating for anyone!  Keto might be great for some people, as research shows it can significantly help those with certain chronic illnesses and even cancer, especially when going through chemotherapy.  For most of us however, the keto diet might do more harm than good long term.

This is why it’s so important that we really understand the basic fundamentals about nutrition, so we can make better choices for ourselves.  

In the end, it’s really just about eating real food.  We’d all be in great shape if we only ate real, unprocessed food at least 80-90% of the time.  It’s certainly ok to indulge here and there, about 10% of your meals… like the pizza and ice cream I ate last night?.

By the way, the key to making it ok to indulge is portion control.  A slice or two and a small ice cream cone is it. I thoroughly enjoyed it, and back to my normal breakfast of 2 organic eggs, avocado and kimchi this morning.  No harm, no foul!

When we eat too many of our meals filled with poor nutrition and processed foods, we feel tired, lethargic, foggy brain, upset digestion, achy joints and sometimes worse.  Eat like crap, and you’ll feel like crap.
